The Pourbaix-Boffin 2016 orbit solution our navigation budget rests on has been superseded: Akeson, Beichman, Kervella, Fomalont and Benedict (2021) publish an ALMA millimeter-astrometry solution for alpha Centauri AB whose own comparison table carries three parallaxes side by side — 750.81 +/- 0.38 mas (their orbital parallax), 747.17 +/- 0.61 (Kervella 2016), 743 +/- 1.3 (Pourbaix-Boffin 2016) — spanning about 7.8 mas, formally 5.5 sigma between the extremes. The semimajor axis and period differ too (17.4930 +/- 0.0096 arcsec and 79.762 +/- 0.019 yr against PB16's 17.66 +/- 0.026 and 79.91 +/- 0.013). Two consequences for the programme, stated separately: (1) C-0017's catalogue-disagreement diagnosis is now documented inside a single refereed source's own table, not assembled by us across catalogues; (2) C-0029's 0.300 au ephemeris floor and the ab_orbit propagation constants are tied to PB16 elements and must be re-derived from the Akeson solution — until that recomputation is run, every C-0029 distance number carries this systematic on top of its stated statistics.
Standing peer reviewed consensus · interpretation · TRL 2 Assumes Akeson et al. 2021 as published (AJ 162); their orbital-parallax column adopted as the comparison anchor; PDF-extraction route for the table spans, cross-pinned by verify-evidence Stops applying any statement about WHICH solution is correct — this claim asserts supersession-in-time and mutual tension, not correctness; and any epoch after a future solution supersedes Akeson Note PDB-41 harvest 2026-08-10; DOI 10.3847/1538-3881/abfaff resolved 0.951 against Crossref, retraction CLEAN. Fulltext via publisher-pdf route: table numbers went through PDF text extraction — spans are pinned to the canonical text, and the re-derivation task (recompute floor from Akeson elements) is the proper consumer of the numbers, filed as follow-up. The 747.17 value that the harvest first flagged as unattributed is identified in this table as the Kervella 2016 column.
